The best amongst you learn & teach Quran. By Dr. Abdulqadir Abdullateef Ola

The best of you is the one who learn about Quran and teaches it to others (خيركم من تعلم القرآن وعلمه )  (Sermon)



Prior to the subject matter Dr. Abdulqadir Abdullateef Ola defined the holy Quran by making reference to the definition given by Allah Himself, in spite of many definitions by different scholars.

As such, the Quran is defined in Suratu Shuara verse 192- 195:( وإنه لتنزيل رب العالمين نزل به الروح الأمين على قلبك لتكون من المنذرين بلسان عربي مبين )

Translation:

"And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds.
The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down.
Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners -
In a clear Arabic language."

Having said that, Dr Abdulqadir differentiated between AN ZALA أنزل  and NAZZALA نزل،
The latter is applicable to the Quran only because it was revealed and sent down in Stages and due to different circumstances, till it was fully compiled and completed within 23 years of prophesy.

Quranic verses were cited to butress the definition and elucidated that the Quran was revealed gradually till it was fully completed unlike the previous devine books that was revealed once from A to Z.
Allah says: ياأيها الذين آمنوا آمنوا بالله ورسوله والكتاب الذي نزل على رسوله والكتاب الذي أنزل من قبل
Suratu Nisa verse:136.

Translation:

" O you who have believed, believe in Allah and His Messenger and the Book that He sent down upon His Messenger and the Scripture which He sent down before. And whoever disbelieves in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, and the Last Day has certainly gone far astray".

At this juncture, when referring to the holy Book (Quran), Allah used Nazzala, in order to elaborate more that the Quran is different from the previous devine books .

Finally, I would like to invite all and sundry to read recite meditate reflect and ponder on the meaning of the Quran. May Allah make us among of the people of Quran.
