AGRICULTURE, SOLUTION TO UNEMPLOYMENT IN NIGERIA

As the saying goes; "Be suspicious of a nation who eats more than they sow". Agriculture is one of the bedrock of any nation who wants to grow extensively and eradicate hunger and unemployment. Agriculture been the rearing of animals and cultivation of crops, but how does these affect unemployment positively in Nigeria
Agriculture can abate the rate of unemployment in our country Nigeria by establishing a standard agricultural institutions for Nigerian youth to learn and imbibe the nut and bolt of agriculture, helping them establish themselves on there own thereby reducing drastically the rate of unemployment.
Also, starting up some businesses in agriculture require little or no capital, for instance, rearing rabbit requires very low or no capital to kick off with, because rabbits are pseudo-ruminant animal which makes them utilise rhoghuages very well, therefore no headache on cost of food. This also cut across other part of agriculture. Recently, the richest man in Nigeria, Aliko Dangote, expressed his worries and fears, about the rising rate of poverty in northern Nigeria and agricultural been the only solution, he appealed to the northern state governors to see agricultural as an alternative in eradicating poverty and unemployment.
In short, venturing into agric business is easy, since little or no capital is involved and the availability of land in Nigeria. It will be easy for youths to start up on there own, having knowledge about the aspect of agriculture you would love to invest in or getting a professional advice will help, instead of looking for a white collar job which doesn't exist, government should give insensitives and easy to access soft loans for youths intrested in agric-business, as this steps would drastically reduce the significant rate of unemployment.
