Effect of Social distancing on Work and Relationships
By; Orovwigho Richard Orovwigho
Alot of persons are saying the social media would help in relationships. Relationship were meant to be real. Where we can feel, see, touch and even smell the fragnace of our loved ones. We can't achieve these on Facebook and Instagram.
Humans are intertwain in the web of relationship. Social distancing might be a strategy to fight the coronavirus pandemic which is affecting the entire globe but then it will take a whole lot which belongs to us and also give us too.
We are social beings. We were created that way. The default system of any person is to interact. A wise man said, "the greatest need of anyone is to be loved and to feel among"
We weren't built to isolate. Always we want to get ourselves involved in activities, in communities, in our workplace. It is not our fault. We always want to socialize.
“The coronavirus spreading around the world is calling on us to suppress our profoundly human and evolutionarily hard-wired impulses for connection: seeing our friends, getting together in groups, or touching each other,” says Nicholas Christakis, a social scientist and physician at Yale University.
Our culture, our religion, our schools, our work place, our lives are socially diffused. Social distancing would cause more than susciding the rate of this pandemic.
Alot of persons are saying the social media would help in relationships. Relationship were meant to be real. Where we can feel, see, touch and even smell the fragnace of our loved ones. We can't achieve these on Facebook and Instagram. It's true many relationships would experience a nosedive. While many would be strengthened. But the future of relationship still holds. Man as an adaptive being will always create new measures to relate once again.
Many businesses and workplaces has folded up. We are keeping distance. Some are rising. Online classes for students are all over the place now. Pupils are been taught through radios. The tech world seems to be our aid. But the future of workers doesn't seems good. It is becoming so obvious now that Robots and technology has come to stay. Why open a school when you can teach 5,000 primary school pupils via a single radio?
The parents would be glad. No school fees anymore. Just get a new battery! Head masters and head mistresses would shed tears then.
The future looks bright for the tech-world. They are creating anchors in strong structures of the globe. Ready to become the next global markets spreading her borders across various sectors from telecommunication to electronic gadgets.
They are slowly taking it all... Smart investors won't glamour over real estates anymore but technology. It is truly the next big thing.
Social distancing for many will be a hell. For others it will be heaven at last! This is no prophesies. These are my thoughts.
Great work sir
