Potential
By; Dibosa P.C. Marcel
I saw a version of me once, a version I never knew existed, in a link that tore through the abstract, that is time. I was a mother, more solid that any foundation, made of steel and red earth. A father, teaching my sons and daughters to hunt for knowledge as they would for food. A builder, I made mountains out of rock and soil. I became a carpenter, driving nails through the future to make it sturdy enough for a genration to scale. A freedom fighter, watering the grass with my tears, turning shrubs into forests. A scholar ever ready to better myself and those around me, I was all of these things, most of all I was a visionary, who saw endless possibilities of time beyond the horizon and I chased it, so that each time that was the present, I could say "I am.", while each time that was the future I would say "I was.", I did all this so, I could look from the bottom of the link at my future self and yell "I BECOME!!!." I am you, and you are me, I am in every one you have met and will ever meet, I am potential.
