About your company...
My company is FEM design studio.
I design banner ,logo, illustration for branding , I also create motion graphics for advertisement, both for television and web, we also create 3d design.
Why graphic design.....
I have always loved art from childhood, growing up I only create art (pencil sketch) for hobby, never thought I could build a career of it.
So I decided to study elect/elect in university, but in my 200 level I was introduced to a graphics software by a friend, immediately I saw the potential of software (photoshop) I wanted to create art with it. This was the beginning of my journey as a graphics designer, I also self thought through online tutorials..
Relivance of Graphic Design....
Graphics design is very relevant in todays digital world, virtually almost every biz today needs a graphics art, to communicate their brand ideas, to costumers as well as sell their product . Its not limited to only business , even indviduals like autors, writer , musicians etc needs art illustation to communicate their various work to the audience. Schools , churches , NGOs all the need graphics work. I think its a very important subject in todays changing world.
Limitations of a Graphic Designer.....
There are several limitations graphics designers face, especially the new beas, in the craft, first inadequate resourses especially for those that are not from a rich home, cost of buying good gadget like pc , tablet ,etc is quite espensive , many aspiring graphics designers give up bcos they lack this resource, and apart from gadget , when you don't have power supply it also becomes a problem.
The possible solution but not immeduate solution is that, the artist should keep pushing, fighting and by all means try to keep creating art work irespective of the challenges he might be facing , when people, family etc see your seriousnes. They might probably invest in you . But most importantly never stop creating.
Secondly most people (customers) dont appreciate the effort of creating an art, some will promise to pay you when you are done with the art work they will simply refuse to pay , although they will they love the art work , but they will simply tell you they dont have the money for it, this is a strong discouragement to most upcoming artist who are yet to have clients network, at time they are force to do alot free works . And sadly free works doesnt pay bills.
