I don't believe in God (Gratitude) by; Omiwole Seun

                               GRATITUDE

    By; Omiwole Seun

    I don’t believe in God

    My life fading away

    Everywhere a dead precinct

    An oyinbo’s philosophy it was

    Slavery is all it is

There I was in the Mongolian’s penitentiary

    Loosing count of time

    growing vertical lines like beards

Knowing the numbers on the concrete walls

    Naming them after another

Forgetting what my name really was

    A crime convicted not committed

    Why oh why?

Night Devotion with King and queen mosquito

    God will give me justice

    Where is the God?

    Escaping through the devil’s tunnel

Crawling out from the thorns of fire

The sky we see; the air we breathe

Not knowing the worth until we loose it

    God is in them all

    Hell on earth it was

    Thinking death would come

Not knowing he hasn’t given up on me yet

    I don’t believe in God

    God believes in me.
