COVID19, THE NEW BUSINESS IDEA!
Rabi'a Aminu Daneji
As we all know, this pandemic has made people, especially students become idle since schools are closed, youths are frequently at home doing nothing, not even reading their books, you can imagine how they virtually spend days without doing anythingng tangible for over five months.
These surely affects the students the most, whom rely heavily on the pocket money given to them by their parents.
However, it has made them take up skills or starting up a small business with little capital.
Creativity and talents to becoming morebvisible. A lot of youth are not interested in businesses while some never imagined of been involved in one, The pandemic turn things around as we all struggle to make ends meet.
Some businesses beginning to strive are, make of small chops, catering services, graphics design, photo and video editing, special services, selling of Male and female accessories, with the use of the Internet, you can sell at your comfort zones.
It is really fascinating to see young people, try to do things which would help them individually and their family, in one way or the other this little attitudinal change is silently changing the Nigerian economy.
I could say covid19 has naturally put things in place and brought positive changes to the society (though it's a virus). People started taking responsibility unlike before. My hope is that these small businesses continue to strive as it has become something to be proud of, thereby making entrepreneurial activities develop. Think of something you can do which will turn out beneficial for you and lead the society at large to a better living!
