As a corp member, what did you  spend the monthly N19,800 allowee on?
Igboke Ogechukwu spent his bettering the community, teaching Internally Displaced Persons, IDP's, on screen printing. Enjoy his motive in the chat this positive minded youth had with Campus Vapor.

Skill Development Training for IDPs Empowerment is one of the important programs in the field of human resource development. The NYSC/NEMA Emergency Management Vanguard led by IGBOKE OGECHUKWU has adopted the training program as human resource development strategy to make the youth diligent and skilled manpower through its various programs. Participants will also learn to mobilize resources around them. This training also brings some positive changes in participant’s attitude and behaviour. These changes help the trainee to promote their self-understanding, and the human being into human resource. The NYSC/NEMA Emergency Management Vanguard is playing a role in imparting training to youth in IDPs camps. The training program will be in operation in two IDP camps. Under this program youths are provided training on screen printing, for people between the ages of (12) and above. Presently two IDP camps namely House of Recabs and an IDP camp in Bukuru have been selected for this program, which will last from August to September.  Firstly, the young people of the selected camps will have two months basic training on selected modules .It is expected that after gathering knowledge, skill and experience, they will contribute positively to the society.

This program is for the internally displaced persons especially  those living in House of Recab domicile in Jos, Plateau State. As a result of insurgency in the North Eastern part of Nigeria in the past and present forcing inhabitant of the affected communities into unimaginable traumatic experiences where they no longer think about the future but means of survival.
If this means of survival is not properly taken care of, they will end up living the camp to cause further disaster in the society in their struggle to make ends meet. This is why  we put up this program to help this Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the House of Recab to acquire skills  in the area of Screen Printing to  help them become useful in the society when they leave IDP camp.
